This phone has been my daily driver for 2 years and I love it. I went with 64 gigs simply because the larger capacity phone cost way to much in Canada off contract, but after a year I haven’t had storage issues once. I keep the number of installed apps pretty limited, and upload all my photos to Google Photos.
Apple Watch Series 4
Apple Watch Series 4, Space Grey, Black Sports Loop
One of my new favorite tech items. I upgraded from the original series 0 Apple Watch so this was a big change. I love how fast this watch is. I’m never waiting for apps to load its lightning fast.
First Generation Airpods
The Airpods complete the list of items I have on me at all times. I never leave the house without them. I was skeptical at first when I ordered them but I have been in love with them ever since. They are just so simple to use and I never have to worry about keeping them charged since their battery lasts forever.
2015 iPad Pro, Space Grey, 128gig
The iPad Pro has become a pretty big part of my daily workflow. Ive been trying to move more and more of my work over to iOS and the iPad Pro is a great fit for it. Using it with the Smart Keyboard case I use it to write up scripts, respond to comments, and just sit back and browse the web while sitting on the couch.
2012 15” Retina Macbook Pro
This laptop used to be my go to workhorse while on the go, but its been taking a backseat to the iPad Pro in recent months. Thought I have recently started using it more to get work done while not home. If I can’t do the work on my iPad then I use this Macbook Pro. Overall I haven’t had many issues with this laptop. It does suffer from first generation retina display burn in from time to time, and I recently got the battery swapped out but otherwise it still works great.
5K 27” Retina iMac
This used to be my main “home” computer, but over the past year as I haven shifted to my iPad Pro, and then Macbook Pro the iMac has really only been used when I’m video editing, or working on a project where I want the larger screen size. In the future I plan on selling this iMac and replacing it and my Macbook pro with a single Macbook pro and external monitor. I’s sick of trying to keep the two macs in sync with one another.
Oh my poor Mac Mini. Originally I bought it as a computer to connect to my living room tv, but after 2 years of using it I gave up and switched over to the Apple TV instead. It now sits dormant under my TV waiting for a day to be useful again. Though its so old that it no longer receives software updates so its probably going to get sold soon.
Apple Magic Keyboard
Apple Magic Keyboard 2nd Gen
I own 2 of these keyboards. 1 I use with my iMac, and the other I pair to my iPad Pro when I really want to get some typing done. Though I have the smart keyboarrd case for the iPad Pro I find it makes my fingers hurt when typing on it for a long period of time. The Magic Keyboard syncs up great with the iPad, and all the shortcut keys at the top of the keyboard also work with the iPad. Oh and you can monitor its battery life with the battery widget which is great.
Apple Magic Mouse
Like the keyboard I own 2 of these. 1 for the iMac and 1 for my Macbook Pro. I will use the trackpad on my Macbook Pro when im doing light work, but anything else I take out the mouse.
Apple Magic Trackpad
Apple Magic Trackpad 2nd Gen
This is kinda a hit or miss product. It came with my iMac so Ive been using it off and on. I try to use it when im just browsing around on my iMac, but otherwise it tends to live above my mouse. I do find it useful for its gestures, but otherwise if It went missing, I wouldn’t replace it.
I switched from Canon to the GH5 in 2017 for a number of reasons mostly being 4k video recording, and the number of video related settings on the camera. Its not overly expensive and can produce a great picture. I also love the XLR adapter which goes on the hot shoe allowing you to connect XLR cables and mics into the camera. Something not many DSLR’s can do.
Panasonic 12-60 Lens
This is the kit lens which came along with the GH5 and really it works for everything I want it to do.
Rode Lav Kit
I purchased this a number of years ago but never really used it until I got the GH5. I bought the XLR adapter for this Lav which is great as I can hard wire this directly into my camera so there is no interference. Overall its a simple microphone but it totally works.
Apple TV 4K
I switched from using the Mac Mini to the Apple TV around 2016 then when Apple announced the 4k version I decided to buy a new 4k and 4k Apple TV to see what the hype was all about. Overall the device is simple and I like that. I could do almost anything with the Mac Mini, but I at least once a week I needed to fix something on the Mac Mini, so to have the Apple TV just work when I need it is nice.
Vizio M65 4k
This was a boxing day purchase from Amazon in 2017 and I really couldn’t be happier with it. Vizio makes cheap 4K TV’s but the picture quality on it has been great. I did have to do in and change a bunch of picture settings to make it really good but overall I just use it to display the Apple TV and it works great for that.
I bought a single Echo around the summer of 2017 and fell in love with what It could do, so for Christmas 2017 I got 2 more. I find there ease of use a perfect fit for my home, they are also great to control other smart devices around the home.
Seno Wireless Charger
Once I got the iPhone X I needed to jump onto the wireless charing bandwagon. I settled with this model simply because it was on Amazon Prime and it was cheap. So far I actually really like it. I own a coupe of them around my house. They charge the phone fast, and they stand the phone up meaning I can unlock the iPhone X without having to pick up the device.
This is a great little charger, its a big part of my laptop bag. I use it to charge my iPad Pro, and other iOS devices while out and about. It supports fast charging on both plugs which is great.
